The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes the appointment of the Members of the Executive Council for Eastern Cape province as announced by Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane.
The newly appointed Provincial Cabinet for the 7th Provincial Administration is as follows:

•MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA)-Cde Zolile Williams
•MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT) – Cde Nonkqubela Pieters
•MEC for Sport, Recreation, Arts & Culture – Cde Sibulele Ngongo
•MEC for Social Development – Cde Bukiwe Fanta
•MEC for Public Works/ Infrastructure & Human Settlements – Cde Siphokazi Mani-Lusithi
•MEC for Transport & Community Safety – Cde Xolile Nqatha
•MEC for Rural Development & Agrarian Reform -Cde Nonceba Kontsiwe
We also congratulate all comrades who have been appointed in their new responsibilities and we also want to encourage all our deployees to serve our people with humility, agility and precision.
We strongly believe that these appointments will reposition the province to consolidate, deepen and advance the National Democratic Revolution (NDR) and now the ANC has the opportunity to exercise and use state power to move the province forward.
The ANC will continue to support the work of its government to ensure that we move faster in concretely changing the lives of our people for the better. To date we believe that the Eastern Cape is on a right path to realize a better life for all.
We call upon the people of the province and all structures to rally behind the collective as led by Premier Mabuyane.
