The African National Congress (ANC ) in the Eastern Cape is appalled and outraged at the brutal and ruthless killing of 17 family members at Ngobozana Village in Lusikisiki in the early hours of this morning..
Its reported that the assailants entered the house and shot and killed the family members , mostly women and children including a five (5) year old child at the Sinqina family home at Ngobozana Village and that include the Matu family.
We condemn this barbaric act with the contempt it deserves. It is terrible, saddening and unconscionable that such horrific and callous act be meted on defenseless women and children.
We call upon law enforcement agencies to work around the clock to apprehend these heartless criminals who killed innocent souls.
We further call on community members to assist law enforcement to trace these murderers and perpetrators of these gutless and wicked act are brought to justice. The full might of the law must be demonstrated to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the deceased during this very difficult time and we convey our heartfelt condolences to the families.
