The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape notes the arrest of ANC PEC member, Cde Zandisile Qupe on allegations of corruption in Nelson Mandela Bay.
As a law-abiding organisation, we are of the view that the law should take its course.It is also quite important that Cde Qupe be afforded the opportunity to present his case and the principle of presumption of innocence until proven otherwise is applied.
We will subject Comrade Qupe to the ANC Provincial Integrity Commission(PIC) and the organization will decide which other internal organizational process to follow in due course.
