The African National Congress Parliamentary Caucus, has learnt with shock and sadness of the passing of Hon. Mthokozisi Nkululeko Nxumalo of the Inkatha Freedom Party.
The ANC conveys its deepest condolences to his family, friends, comrades and community on his tragic passing.
The loss of a productive young parliamentarian has robbed the nation of the immense contribution Hon. Mthokozisi Nxumalo was still expected to play in efforts aimed at nation – building as well as the upliftment of young people.
Caucus further extends its condolences to the IFP National Youth Brigade on the demise of its National Chair of the IFP’s National Youth Brigade who also served as the Deputy Chief Whip of the IFP in the National Assembly.
His vibrant contributions in numerous Portfolio committees including Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mineral Resources and Energy, Public Works and Infrastructure to name a few will be sorely missed and leaves a huge void.
May his loved ones be comforted by the knowledge that young as he was, he was a rising star, a great asset to his organization and a firebrand who still had a great future in politics.
We wish them great strength and courage during this difficult period of grief. In the words of the great writer, John O’ Donohoue, ‘may the nourishment of the earth be his and may the clarity of light, the fluency of the ocean and the protection of the ancestors accompany him as he transcends to the other world’.
