The ANC National Working Committee (NWC) met in an ordinary sitting on Monday 2nd of July 2018 to process, amongst others, the directive of the special National Executive Committee (NEC) held on 18th June 2018 to conclude on the appointment of the Integrity Commissioners and to further set-up a task team that will finalise on its terms of reference.
The constitution of the ANC as amended and adopted by the 54th National Conference in Nasrec empowers the NEC to appoint an integrity commission with terms of reference to be approved by the NEC.
The NWC has therefore approved names of the Integrity Commission as follows:
- Cde George Mashamba (Chair)
- Cde Bridgette Mabandla (Deputy Chairperson)
- Cde Sophie de Bryun
- Cde Sindiso Mfenyana
- Cde Sue Rabkin
- Cde Smangaliso Mkhatshwa
- Cde Essop Jassat
- Cde Cyril Janjies
- Cde Andrew Mlangeni
We trust that the integrity commissioners will aid the organisation in ensuring that its integrity and good standing is upheld, so that we may all take heed in the examples of life-long activists and disciplined members of our movement such as those who have been bestowed with the honours of Isithwalandwe/ Seaparankoe like Tata Nelson Mandela.
