As the ANC, we welcome the intervention made by the national department of water affairs as led by Minister Nomvula Monkonyana. Generally, the country has experienced draught that affected many communities. If no intervention made it would have caused severe crisis in the challenges of poverty we have in the Eastern Cape province. This intervention came at a right time as the province was making all it could do to respond. With this response, we are hoping this intervention would normalise the pressure and save affected communities from the crisis.
We urge people in all areas that are going to be serviced by the trucks donated to receive well this government intervention and work with government to use water effiently because water is life.
