ANC EC annual Rev Canon James Calata program

The ANC in the Eastern Cape once again host the Annual Rev. James Canon Calata Program in Chris Hani Region. Rev Canon James Calata was once the Secretary General of the ANC during the period between 1936 to 1949. Our ANC Provincial Office in King Williams Town is named after him. The current ANC leadership took a decision to remember him and his contribution to the organisation by organising activities in his own region yearly. This year, the program will take place as follows;

Event One

Event: Memorial Lecture,

Event Two

Event: Grave Site Memorial event,
Date: 22 June 2015
Time: 08:30 – 09:30
Location: Cradock, Lingelihle
Venue: Lingelihle Grave Yard
Speaker: Cde Pumulo Musaulle

Event Three

Event: Imvuselelo & Birthday Celebrations (Cake Cutting) (He was born on the 22nd June)
Date: 22 June 2015
Time: 10:00 – 10:30
Location: Cradock, Lingelihle
Venue: Lingelihle Community Hall
Speaker: ANC EC Chaplaincy

In the middle of the above events, Calata Sport Games will be starting on Friday until Sunday. The Minister of Sport Cde Fikile Mbalula is expected to hand over cups to the winners of different sporting codes to be played.
