ANC EC congratulates Anaso Jobodwana

The ANC in the Province of Eastern Cape joins the rest of the athlete community and sports loving South Africans for the best performance of this young talented son of the province.

The ANC congratulates him for defying all odds and place best premium on fitness and determination. The opportunities that South Africa exposed to the majority of young people since the advent of democracy places a huge responsibility to them by being committed to discipline, distancing themselves away from social ills, drugs and substance abuse.

This is a moment which suppose to unite all South African to blow away remaining vestiges of apartheid in society, in higher institutions of learning and in public places.

We are sadden by the revelations emanating from Stellenbosch university and agriculture college which reminded this country of the dehumanizing past and crime against humanity system whose colors still characterize public institutions. We call on all sport loving South Africans to condemn and denounce all forms of racism and intolerances in this country.

His victory in 200m race that earned him a bronze medal must be a seed to all to plant hope for a better country where opportunities are plenty  for young people. We thank his family for giving us the son who has shown commitment to go all out and lift our national flag abroad. He has made us proud.
