The African National Congress (ANC) in the Chris Hani Region extends its warmest congratulations to the Class of 2024 on their exceptional matriculation results. The best performing district is Chris Hani East achieving an impressive 88.5% pass rate as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our learners, government, educators, and support staff.
We are incredibly proud of the outstanding performance of our schools in the region, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our efforts to improve the quality of education. This achievement would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our educators, who have gone above and beyond to ensure our learners receive the best possible education.
We congratulate the ANC led government department of education under the stewardship of our distinguished, revered,renowned, illustrious and eminent MEC Fundile Gade for the 84,9% pass rate for our province of the Eastern Cape. We are elated, satisfied and impressed by the qualitative progress especially 45 662 bachelor passes placing our Eastern Cape Province on the 3rd nationally on bachelors outcome.
The ANC Chris Hani salute our esteemed leader of the ANC and Premier of the Eastern Cape Province Comrade Oscar Lubabalo Mabuyane for his inspirational, decisive, dynamic and effective leadership as shown by these satisfactory results. Premier Mabuyane continues to embolden, bolster up and provide full support to MECs, galvanise & energize officials to deliver successful outcomes, provide strategic thinking, fortify implementation, encourage teams and is able to guide, inspire, and influence others in both government and private sector to achieve common goals of universal access to quality education. We are also enraptured, thrilled and overjoyed at the resilience of women who performed better than males in national averages which is a critical element towards the agenda of breaking patriarchy in society. The African National Congress will work with progressive organisations such as SASCO and NEHAWU to spearhead clear pathways to higher education and training opportunities for these outstanding academic performers in our region.
The ANC Chris Hani Region remains committed to prioritizing education as a critical tool for empowerment, economic growth, and social transformation. We will continue to work tirelessly with our education stakeholders to address challenges, improve infrastructure, and provide resources necessary for our learners to succeed.
Once again, we congratulate the Matric Class of 2024 on this remarkable achievement of a national average of 87,3% and wish them all the best as they embark on their future career endeavors.
