The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape congratulate Frere Hospital in Buffalo City for winning International Hospital Federation Award .Free Hospital was chosen out of 27 finalists in the four categories of the 2018 IHF Awards which honors innovations and outstanding achievements in the healthcare industry .
The IHF Awards program received a record number of 160 entries from 118 organisations in 33 countries .IHF has been recognizing innovation,excellence,outstanding achievements and best practices of hospitals and healthcare organizations since 2015 when the Awards was first presented in Chicago , USA.
This great achievement is a result of sacrifice and selfless dedication towards service excellence.
We are very proud of what this hospital has achieved, and wish that the staff and management at our institutions far and wide could take a leaf from Frere Hospital, and replicate this winning formula for the benefit of our people.
Once again our Province is excited with the good news that one of the Provincial Dept of Health employees has received an international award .
Thokshni Govender, Director Employee Wellness at Dept of Health has been recognised internationally as the best performing Employee Assistance Professional Board .
We are proud that Tish Govender will be going to Minneapolis this evening (Monday 8 October 2018) as President of EAPA-SA to receive the award.
