ANC EC MOURNS THE PASSING AWAY OF CDE NCEDIWE NORI BOOI

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape has learnt with great shock and sadness on the untimely departure of the ANCWL Regional Secretary of Amathole Region and ANC MPL, Cde Ncediwe Norhi Booi in a car accident yesterday (Sunday 21 July 2019) near Mount Coke.

Cde Nori Booi was the Eastern Cape ANC Member of the Provincial Legislature in the current 6th administration.

Her selflessness and unwavering commitment to the women’s struggle is discernable in the various positions she held with distinction, in both the ANC and the ANCWL.She was a phenomenal being and remarkable woman in unendurable times. A true gender and human rights activist. A loyal & dedicated member of our glorious movement.

While we mourn her loss, we must thank her most profoundly for the selfless service to all South Africans and humanity at large, for her generosity of spirit and for teaching the nation humility, respect for human dignity and compassion for the weak, the poor and the downtrodden.

She will be sorely missed by all principled and freedom-loving South Africans. We owe it to her memory to intensify our ongoing struggle for total social transformation and the economic emancipation of women.

ANC in the Eastern Cape wishes to express its most sincere condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, comrades in the ANC Provincial Caucus and the entire membership of the ANCWL.

Rest in peace Comrade Norhi Booi. You will join our treasured stalwarts in the annals of our history.
