The African National Congress volunteers will paint South Africa with black, green and gold as they rollout the ‘Thuma Mina’ programme to all corners of the country.
This initiative led by the ANC volunteers has attracted many citizens of this country from different walks of life with interest to curtail daily plights of our communities.
The ANC made a deliberate move to connect with the masses to ensure they fully participate in the initiative to resolve their daily plights. Over the months, ANC volunteers, supporters, and members of the public took pride to be in forefront in all efforts to deal with challenges through practical actions.
This weekend, as part of the campaign ANC activists and volunteers will in full steam on the ground in their respective wards of our nine provinces in the rollout of Thuma Mina. They will amongst others tackle service delivery challenges, especially those that do not necessarily need government’s intervention.
The Thuma Mina programme also restores conscience to our people and encourage the spirit of selflessness. The ANC respond on the issues of service delivery in the communities.
Deployees of the ANC in government will be dispatched to work with the communities. They will swap their suits with overalls and boots to work in the communities.
A range of activities that the ANC volunteers will be involved at includes but not limited to the following:-cleaning of illegal dumping sites, awareness campaigns on the protection of the environment, fixing potholes, cleaning schools and taxi ranks
The ANC calls on the communities that will be visited for the first time in their wards to join the volunteers who would have dedicated their time to better communities’ well-being. The ANC has been encouraged by the commitment shown by the public in the Thuma Mina programme.
