As a coincidence of history South Africa will be playing England in both the Cricket World Cup and the Rugby World Cup on the 21 October 2023. This is a unique occurrence in the sporting calendar and a major feat for sports loving nations like South Africa.
As a country and a people united in diversity and a common bond of humanity, the ANC joins all South Africans in support of the Proteas and the Springboks against England. In the final call of the game, the South African flag will fly high with pride as we proudly sing Nkosi Sikelel iAfrica, Thina Siyazalana and Shosholoza with the passionate blow of the vuvuzela and eyes firmly on the coveted prize of being world champions.
