ANC COMMEMORATES THE CENTENARY OF ISITHWALANDWE/SEAPARANKOE HARRY GWALA

The President of the African National Congress (ANC), Comrade Cyril Ramaphosa, will today, 30 July 2020, address a virtual centenary celebration in honour of Isithwalandwe/Seaparankoe Comrade Harry Gwala. Born on the 30th of July 1920 near Pietermaritzburg, Comrade Gwala also became known as Munt’omdala – the Lion of the Midlands.

Comrade Gwala was one of those rare revolutionaries who refused to bow to the intimidation and repression of the apartheid regime, nor wavered in his commitment to the total and fundamental liberation of all black (especially African) South Africans. The commemorative lecture by President Ramaphosa will take place under the following details:
