The ANC Dr WB Rubusana region has noted with disbelief and disappointment, the utterances by Cde Andile Lungisa which appear as an attack to the Provincial Chairperson Cde Oscar Lubabalo Mabuyane and the entire Provincial Executive Committee. The ANC Dr WB Rubusana Condemns such a conduct from a Cde who claims to have been in the movement for some time, such deportment is Anti-ANC.
An attack of this nature to the leadership of the ANC, seriously diminishes the intellectual capacity of the majority branches that instilled its hope to the leadership that is today being undermined by an individual. We call on Cde Andile Lungisa to refrain from his tendency of whenever he is granted an opportunity to address the membership of the ANC, he never concludes without having to ridicule the leadership of the ANC.
We would like to reaffirm our support for the ANC PEC as led by Cde Mabuyane. It is highly disappointing to see people advocating for the institutionalization of factionalism whenever they get an opportunity. This kind of behaviour must be disassembled whenever it shows up. It is through the leadership of Mabuyane that the Eastern Cape has reclaimed its space in the national Politics of the ANC. Mabuyane grew up in the Mass Democratic Movement structures. We are therefore of the view that Andile Lungisa is indeed misinformed.
We have also noted a malicious statement by Andile Lungisa, claiming or rather introducing Cde Mlibo Qoboshiyane as the face of the Eastern Cape. We challenge Cde Mlibo to distance himself from such utterances, failing which, we shall believe that indeed he is a face of a faceless agenda, an agenda which seeks to divide the ANC in the Eastern Cape.
We also call upon the leadership of the ANC in the Province to act on the substandard behaviour displayed by Cde Andile Lungisa today. We can never allow members of the ANC to be mobilized during COVID-19 only to listen to a churlish person speaking unkindly to the leadership of the ANC. This kind of behaviour has no room in the ANC, it must never be allowed nor tolerated.
