ANC in the Eastern Cape commends the swift action of the SAPS for nabbing 10 suspects that are alleged to be linked to the gunning down of 5 policemen and a retired soldier in the early hours of Wednesday, 24 February 2018 at Ngcobo Police Station.
Their arrest comes after police received information that suspicious people are hiding a local religious cult church (Mancoba Church) at Ngcobo yesterday. When the police pounced the church, they were confronted by gunfight and returned fire killing five suspects.
The unfortunate incidents has since left the nation reeling with shock.
We wish the injured a policeman a speedy recovery.
ANC is also calling the community upon the community of Ngcobo to remain calm and let the law enforcement agencies to carry on with their dutiies.
