The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes the swearing- in of ANC Provincial Treasurer, Comrade Babalo Madikizela as a Member of Provincial Legislature (MPL) in the Eastern Cape.
Comrade Madikizela was sworn in today Tuesday, 13th November 2018. The ANC is confident that his acquired knowledge of local government and application of business skills will assist the ANC and Provincial Government in its engagement with its stakeholders who are the public, the media and civil society.
He has served the movement in many capacities, first as the ANC Youth League Provincial Executive Committee member from 2010-2013 and ANC Regional Treasurer of Alfred Nzo Region from 2014-2017.Comrade Babalo Madikizela holds a National Diploma in Town Planning from ML Sultan Tecknikon which is now known as Durban University of Technology (DUT).
Our young people’s call for generational mix is certainly becoming a practical reality in an inspirational way , which will encourage many young people to work with necessary diligence in their areas of responsibility. Comrade Madikizela will bring the youthful energetic characteristic of the ANC YL in the Legislature.
We wish him well and confident that he will add value to the life of the African National Congress in the Provincial Legislature.
