The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape today welcomed two Ward candidates from the DA in Matatiele (Ward 18&20), Cde Sabelo Zweni and Cde Simphiwe Gxumayo and scores of supporters to the peoples movement.
Provincial Secretary, Comrade Lulama Ngcukayitobi received the two Ward candidates and supporters with enthusiasm and said” the ANC is the only political home for the downtrodden in our country”. He reiterated the point that since 1912, the ANC’s objective has always been to unite the people of South Africa and we have a responsibility to unite our people. “When those who left come back, we will accept them”.
Both candidates are senior leaders of Uncedo Taxi Association in Matatiele and leadership of the association joined today’s homecoming of these candidates. The Uncedo Taxi Association used the occasion of this welcoming event to pledge their support and vote to the African National Congress.
We call on all South Africans to follow the lead of most of these DA members who have rejoined the ANC, to vote ANC on the 1st of November 2021 as we are the only organisation with the track record, capacity, commitment and necessary credentials to help build better communities together.
