ANC EC WELCOMES MTHATHA MAGISTRATE COURT DECISION TO DENY BAIL

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes the Mthatha Magistrate Court decision to deny bail to Mr Siphiwo Mngxali (51), the estranged husband of a Mthatha doctor.

Mr Mngxali is facing two counts of attempted murder, theft and breach of a protection order after Dr Yolisa Siphambo-Mngxali has turned to the court.

We believe that the court decision is in the interests of the justice system and the public at large. We will continue to mobilise our members in large numbers to be part of this case until justice is served.

This case is also critical in our ongoing fight against gender based violence and femicide wherever it manifest itself.
