ANC EC welcomes proclamation signed by President for SIU to investigation BCM

The ANC in the Eastern Cape welcomes the proclamation signed by the presidency today for Buffalo City Municipality to be investigated by SIU.

We believe this is a great move by Presidency, it is long overdue. BCM has been under the dark cloud of corruption allegation for quite sometime now and this investigation is the bigining of the end. As the ANC, we have been unhappy with quite a lot that makes Buffalo City residences not to receive quality services due to them because of corruption. This move brings relief and hope to us as the movement for BCM community.

We will welcome the outcomes of the investigation. We want to see those implicated in any wrong doing to be procetuted. In the system of Buffalo City, all corrupt elements must be removed. We need municipalities in the Eastern Cape to be engaged in delivering services than to create a situation where maladministration is the order of the day.

The ANC remains unapologetic about its position on corruption. Corruption has become a nerve that affects everybody in our society. We cant serve our people with the dignity they deserve if we have so much corrupt elements in government administration.

We support the move and we believe it is going to uncover a lot and save people money. We are happy.
