The African National Congress in the Eastern Cape congratulates the Congress of South African Trade Unions(COSATU) after holding its 13th Provincial Congress at the Orient Theatre, East London from the 30th June -1 July 2018.
ANC has welcomed the call by 13th Provincial Congress of COSATU in strengthening of the Alliance in pursuance of the National Democratic Revolution.
ANC reiterates its view that COSATU remains a beacon of hope to all workers and it is the only available vehicle to champion the course of these workers in South Africa and elsewhere in the World.
And that also speaks to respect of the Federation’s founding principles; One Industry-One Union; One Federation-One Country!
The Congress declared their support of ANC election mobilisation campaign towards the 2019 National Elections and beyond.ANC welcomes all collective leadership elected and wish them well in their collective endeavours to build a strong COSATU.
ANC wishes all newly elected leadership collective well to strive for the genuine unity, cohesion and revolutionary leadership within all structures to strengthen the Federation and all affiliates.
The integrity of the Unity of COSATU and its Affiliates is sacrosanct!
