The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes the Provincial Cabinet reshuffle announced by Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane this morning.
We take this opportunity to congratulate the new MEC for Human Settlements, Comrade Nonceba Kontsiwe. Her experience both in the public service and legislature will enhance capacity at Human Settlements.
We also welcome the redeployment of MEC’s in their new portfolios , Comrade Nomakhosazana Meth as MEC for Health and Comrade Nonkqubela Pieters as MEC for Rural Development & Agrarian Reform.
They should take these new assignments with the necessary vigour and determination to ensure that the ANC government’s efforts to build better and sustainable livelihoods for all are accelerated.
We wish them strength, courage and resilience as they take up these very important responsibilities.
