ANC EC WISHES MATRICULANTS BEST OF LUCK IN THEIR FINAL EXAMS

The African National Congress(ANC) in the Eastern Cape wishes the Class of 2019 all the best as they prepare to write their final examination from today (16 October 2019) with over 103 312 candidates sitting for the National Senior Certificate (NSC).

This examination is but one of the ways to attain a better life for learners, their families and South Africa at large. The outcome of this examination will determine the learners’ choice of career and their future prospects for self-actualisation.

The gains we have made in education are commendable. To date, more than 90% of our public schools are no-fee schools, ensuring that steadily and surely the vision of free education is being realised. More than 10 million children get fed at our schools daily, providing much needed nutritional sustenance to the most needy in our society. Three times as many students now have access to further and higher education and training supported by our R32 billion investment in the National Student Financial Aid Scheme in the current financial year. These are but some of the many interventions the ANC government employs to realise the Freedom Charter demand that the doors of learning and culture shall be opened.

We call upon all parents, relatives, teachers and friends to rally around these learners and emotionally support them throughout this sensitive period in their life time.

Best of luck to all matriculants.
