The African National Congress (ANC) O.R. Tambo Regional Executive Committee has received, with deep sadness, the news of the passing of Mama Nolusapho Rose Rayne Mandela–Perry, the mother of Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela.
Mama Mandela–Perry’s passing is a great loss not only to the Mandela Royal Family, but to the broader community that draws inspiration from the enduring legacy of the Mandela lineage. She was a pillar of strength and dignity, whose life remains intertwined with the rich heritage and history of our people.
The ANC O.R. Tambo Regional Executive Committee conveys its heartfelt and deepest condolences to the Mandela Royal Family, the AbaThembu Kingdom, and all those whose lives were touched by Mama Mandela–Perry. We extend our sympathies to Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela and the entire Royal Household during this difficult period.
We pray that the Almighty grants the family, the Royal House, and its subjects comfort, strength, and solace in this time of profound grief.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
