The African National Congress (ANC) together with the Mjongile Family will tomorrow the 21st of September 2020 kickstart a week-long memorial program to celebrate the life of Songezo “Madiba” Mjongile. Comrade Songezo passed on Thursday, 17th of September 2020 at his family home surrounded by his wife and loved ones.
The week long memorial program will include virtual condolence sessions and reflections on the life of times of Songezo Mjongile, who previously served the movement in various capacities including as ex-officio member of the ANC National Executive as well as President of the Congress of South African Students (Cosas).
All burial arrangements inclusive of planned memorial services and the private family funeral service will be conducted with strict adherence to COVID 19 regulations.

The ANC Interim Provincial Committee (IPC) in the Western Cape will lead the ANC Official Send Off which is expected to be addressed by ANC National Official.
Members of the ANC and society broadly wishing to convey messages of condolences are encourage to visit www.ancmemorial.org.za from Tuesday the 21st of September 2020.
The memorial and funeral service will also be streamed across all @MyANC platforms.
