ANC Alfred Nzo Region applauds the handing over of TebeTebe bridge at Umzimvubu Local Municipality under the Welisizwe Presidential Programme. The bridge was constructed after the submissions that were made by the ANC led municipality of Umzimvubu to the Presidential office as part of infrastructure interventions in the rural municipality.
The opportunistic DA claiming victory of Tebetebe is unfounded and devoid of truth. Making noise on social media about matters that are already under the government process is nothing but opportunism and cheap politicking. If DA had any appetite of bettering the lives of our people, Black people in particular, it would have done so at Khayelitsha, Nkanini, Gugulethu, Langa where our people are living under unspeakable conditions.
The ANC continues to engage government at all levels to come on board and assist rural municipalities in Alfred Nzo Region, and as such, four of the bridges under WeliSizwe Presidential program have been constructed in Ntabankulu together with Tebetebe. If the claims of the DA would be anything to go by, then that would mean even the Presidential program itself belongs to them.
ANC Alfred Nzo Region appreciates the patience of the people of Umzimvubu that have endured until this far. Our institutions remain committed in delivering sustainable infrastructure to our people working with government at all levels. The testament to this assession is the massive infrastructure development currently taking place within our Region, KwaBhaca to Ngcweleni N2 construction being a case in point.
