Issued by the office of the ANC EC Provincial Secretary
The people of Nkwankca have yesterday reaffirmed their commitment to the ANC.
We now can confirm that the outcome of the by-election is the reflection of the things we have been saying that people of those communities were a subject of greed and selfish interest by individuals who thought they are bigger than the ANC. Its the people of Nkwankca that have voted, not the PEC or RTT, they went out individually to exercise their democratic right. All the insults and accusations labelled by ANC disgruntled groups against the leadership are now proved by people of Nkwankca that we wanted the ANC to continue to lead but some individuals must be removed. They went out to vote and free themselves. We as the leadership have just facilitated and led the processes.
We are happy that elections have passed. We congratulate all the successful candidates, mostly we salute all ANC voter who during the difficult campaign stood by their organisation. We say this municipality belongs to you, you were brave enough to show those who led disorder, anarchy and disruptions that your agenda is purely to look for good governance and service to people of Nkwankca.
We now going to work hard to have structures on the ground to continue installing stability in all wards. ANC is home for all. Those who will find after today they were misled, they will be welcomed back to the ANC. The new municipal leadership will work with everyone in that community. Special thanks once again to the people of Nkwankca.
