The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes with humility the results of the by-elections held in two municipalities, at Ward 1 – Engcobo Local Municipality and Ward 5 at Intsika Yethu Local Municipality yesterday, 16th March 2022.
The elections outcomes are as a result of hard work, selflessness and commitment which our movement and volunteers tirelessly paced themselves throughout the length and breadth of the two wards.
We extend our gratitude to the voters who ensured that we retain Ward 1 at Engcobo and Ward 5 at Intsika Yethu Local Municipality. The voters have given us an overwhelming mandate to carry out the commitments in building better communities together.
We also thank our committed volunteers, members and supporters of the ANC who worked tirelessly in the build-up to these by-elections and ensured this decisive victory.
