The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape extends its sincere condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Comrade Skosana Mbolo who passed away last night (Tuesday (30 June 2020). Comrade Skosana Mbolo passed on at his home after a short illness.
Comrade Mbolo was deployed by the ANC as Speaker of Engcobo Local Municipality having served as a Councillor since 2000. He has served in different capacities, first as Portfolio Head of Infrastructure and Chief Whip.
Comrade Mbolo was an “unassuming and humble person who was a true servant of the people”. He carried assignments given to him during various deployments by the ANC with “dedication and unquestionable commitment”.
By any standard, his exemplary loyalty to the African National Congress is recorded in the annals of history and impossible to erase. He had a deep understanding of what it means to truly serve the masses of our people and this is a legacy he leaves behind.
We thank the Mbolo family for allowing him the space to serve his country and his people. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful life so well lived with all of us. To the family, we say thuthuzelekani , akuhlanga lungehliyo.
