The African National Congress, Eastern Cape conveys its deepest condolences to Zantsi family and the community of Buffalo City Metro on the sad passing of BCM Councillor Thembisa Zantsi.
It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing of Cllr Zantsi, who passed away on 28 June 2015.
Cllr Zantsi passed away on few days after South Africans celebrates 60th anniversary of Freedom Charter, a people’s charter which she was committed and dedicated to implement as a discipline cadre of the movement. We must say, she is one of the combrades that you would never find her name involved in controversy damaging the name of the ANC, her organisation she served with distinction. She is definately going to be missed.
In 2011, she was appointed to serve as a mayoral committee member responsible for human resources, and her stable contribution in the municipality and the movement in BCM. We have lost one of the dedicated character.
In this difficult time, we stand by her family.
