The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape welcomes the decision of the Premier, Comrade Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane to reconstitute the Provincial Executive Council.
The Premier has announced the following changes in the Provincial Cabinet:
Xolile Nqatha – Transport & Safety
Nonceba Kontsiwe – Sport, Recreation Arts and Culture
Siphokazi Mani-Lusithi – Human Settlements
Zolile Williams – COGTA
Bukiwe Fanta – Social Development
Ntombo Vuyo Nkopane – Public Works & Infrastructure
We wish the newly appointed MEC’s all the best in their new responsibilities.
We appreciate the initiatives taken by the Premier to strengthen the functioning and capacity of government and hope that these changes will provide greater impetus to government delivery.
The ANC will continue to support the work of its government to ensure that we move faster in changing the lives of our people for the better.
We call on all our structures, supporters and the people of the Eastern Cape to embrace and support the decision of the Premier which was done in the best interests of coherence in government.
