The African National Congress joins millions of rugby loving fans from South Africa in congratulating our national rugby team, AmaBokoboko, on their remarkable victory against Japan during the Rugby World Cup 2019 match played today, Sunday, the 20th of October 2019 in Tokyo. The 26-3 win comes as a significant boost to the Springbok’s aspirations to win the prestigious trophy and it bring home.
We hope the talent displayed by the team will be consolidated to ensure that the team does its best in other international tournaments. For us sports, particularly rugby, has been one of the biggest catalysts of social cohesion and nation building, dispelling the racial myth of our past, bringing together South Africans from all walks of life, despite colour or creed, under one roof to enjoy the game. We say to DIE BOKKE, continue making us proud as a nation and BRING DIT TUIS.
