The ANC has learned with sadness of the passing of uMama Marriam Nomvula Mashatile, the mother of the ANC Treasurer General, Comrade Paul Mashatile this morning. She passed on peacefully in her sleep at the age of 82.
UMama Mashatile has been a source of encouragement and strength to the TG throughout his life as an activist. In him she leaves a legacy of continued persistence to fight for what is just and for the benefit of our people.
The ANC conveys its heartfelt condolences and support to the family during these difficult times. UMama Mashatile’s will be buried on Friday in compliance with the COVID19 regulations.
