ANCEC IS DEEPLY SADDENED BY PASSING OF INKOSI MATANZIMA

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape is deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Inkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima , the former Chairperson of the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders (ECHTL) and elder of AbaThembu nation.

A champion of moral regeneration has departed.

Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima touched many lives and was much loved due to his humble and respectful nature. He was a custodian of moral values and understood how important it was for the preservation of society to inculcate and preserve values.

Nkosi Ngangomhlaba Matanzima made an immense contribution to the development and strengthening of the role of traditional leadership at the Provincial sphere of government and worked hard in deepening the values of constitutional democracy and the principles of cooperative governance

Death has robbed the people of the Eastern Cape and South Africa of a dedicated servant and an epitome of unity within the traditional leadership community and AbaThembu nation who was committed to ensuring a better life for all.
