The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape calls on all progressive forces to participate in the public hearings that commences today (Monday 23 July 2018) in the Province on the review of Section 25 of the Constitution hosted by Joint Constitutional Review Committee .
We strongly appeal to all our members, supporters and broader society to be in the forefront of influencing the policy position on land expropriation. Our country cannot achieve equal society when access, management, control and ownership of land still remains the domain of white and male privilege.
In the Eastern Cape, these hearings are scheduled to take place from today ,Monday 23 to 28 July 2018 in four municipalities, which are: OR Tambo District Municipality, Chris Hani District Municipality, Amathole District Municipality, and Sarah Baartman District Municipality.
