Following the very successful ANC National 105th Anniversary Rally at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Eastern Cape ANC Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) is set to host the Provincial 105th Anniversary Celebrations on Sunday, 15 January 2017 at Walter Sisulu University (NMD Campus) in Mthatha at 10 am. The Rally is expected to be addressed by the ANC Deputy President, Cde Cyril Ramaphosa.
In preparation for the rally the ANC EC PEC led by the Chairperson Cde Pumulo Masualle will descend to Mthatha and the broader OR Tambo region from Thursday, 12 January till Sunday, 15 January 2017.
As part of the build-up programmes to the rally and in effort of taking the ANC January 8th Statement to the broader community, the ANC PEC will through a series of meetings and events engage various stakeholders like Traditional Leaders, Students, Organized Business, Religious Sector etc.
The ANC 105th Anniversary Celebrations will also commemorate the 100 years birthday anniversary of the longest serving ANC President Cde Oliver Reginald Tambo affectionately known as O.R Tambo.
Subsequently on Friday, 13 January the ANC Provincial Chairperson Cde Pumulo Masualle will deliver a memorial lecture in honour of O.R Tambo at Mthatha Town Hall, 18h00.
