Issued by the Office of the ANC EC Provincial Secretary
ANC in the Eastern Cape welcomes the government cabinet announced by the President last night. We are of the view that it is indeed reflective of a number of key developmental areas. We observed that the issue of continuity is addressed and that the running of government work that was not finished will continue smoothly. We are comfortable about gender representative, it is well balanced. It is also addressing the issue of second layer leadership, we still see young people who were serving in the previous administration and the new names coming in, this shows that the president thinks about the future of the country.
We also wish to congratulate those from Eastern Cape who made it to the cabinet. This to us shows that as a province we are doing a great work in developing the quality of leaders who can make contribution to that level. As they are not there to representing the province but to serve the nation, We wish them a good journey, they must get more experience and knowledge as their efforts in a mission to move South Africa forward will be recorded in our books. The ANC in the province will always support them. Our commitment is to continue to produce more leaders for all sectors of the society.
We will be working with the cabinet to deliver and continue to change communities
Once again, the appointment of Cde Zizi Kodwa as the ANC National Spokes person shows the in-depth of quality leaders we continue to produce in the province, we welcome his appointment and congratulate him for his new responsibility. He definitely brings new ideas in battle of ideas.
