The African National Congress (ANC ) PEC in the Eastern Cape wishes all its members, supporters and broader society of the Province a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
This is the time of the year when we have to spend quality time with our families after a very long and difficult year. Christmas, like any special occasion, provides an opportunity for us all to pause, reflect, and celebrate the things that we rightly cherish and work diligently to diminish issues that work against us.
Unfortunately; it is during this season that many people lose their lives on our roads because of various reasons like fatigue, drunken driving and all sort of negligent and reckless behaviour on the part of many drivers.
It is our view that law enforcement agencies must be vigilant on reckless behaviour by drivers who do not only endanger their lives but also those of fellow humans on the road. Tired drivers are advised to rest before proceeding with the trips.
We urge all members to be careful on the roads. Please do not drink and drive. Let us all be safe and come back next year to take this country forward.Arrive Alive!
Parents are as well advised to save for beginning of the year so as to avoid unnecessarily getting into debt at the beginning of the year to meet the needs of their families.
