The African National Congress (ANC) in the Eastern Cape is in great disbelief and still shocked at the recent death of two women that were shot dead following allegations of corruption and extortion by individuals involved in the incident.
The ANC appeals to the community of Reeston to remain calm at this period so that the law can take its full course. We are also dismayed that this barbaric act takes place at the time when the country is celebrating Women’s Month.It is unfortunate that once again the name of the ANC has been brought into disrepute.
We condemn both the cold blooded and barbaric murders and the alleged extortion that led to this unfortunate incident.
We are calling upon the law enforcement agencies leave no stone unturned in hunting down and bringing to book those responsible for this serious crime.
We again wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to their families in this time of grief and sadness.
May their souls rest in eternal peace.
